Growing conditions in the southwest corner of Manitoba have been anything but ideal this spring. Cool and dry conditions have slowed germination of crops traditionally grown. Farmers in the region have been busy re-sowing crops, which were planted early in the season. Hemp is a relatively new crop in the district. Farmers from the Waskada/Goodlands area are just starting to plant their hemp seed for this year's crop.
